my school offers a combinatorics course using richard stanley's vol 1 book. I'll have finished analysis 1 and algebra 1 by the time its offered next semester (1-7 of rudin and dummit and foote, im doing pretty well in both of the classes). its only offered once every 2 years so this is my only chance to get exposure to combinatorics. But i also dont know if im at all ready for it. should i take the class

I think that combinatorics does not need many requisites. Stanley study it in an enumerated spirit with generating functions which generalize tricks you may already know. The only new stuff may be finitely-generated modules but they are only generalizations of vector spaces so I think you could follow the course. If you read the chapters before the course it should be a walk in the park.
ill give the first chapters a read then thanks.
i am also worried about my gpa though
On the same subject I prefer https://algo.inria.fr/flajolet/Publications/book.pdf
Maybe you could have a look at it and skip the parts about complex analysis.
