Do you really need to use this exact method ?
Just a question because there is much easier ways to factor the same expression
The best way is the the AC method
9x²+6x+1=(3x+1)²
What is that?
And I'm still not sure what's being done here.
Oh yeah let me explain
Sorry, I just put the solution
Basically
Also yeah, please don't show the whole solution.
Oh sorry, this is my first time doing this
So, what you'd want to do is multiply the x² coefficient and the c term
9x^2 + 6x + 1 is already a complete square, so you can just use the square of sum formula to factor it.
You are right, but I'd hardly imagine a normal school examination markscheme would allow the formula
I never saw it on any markscheme
Wait a sec
That might just be because I live in England
I'm not really familiar with markschemes much. Most of the tests and exams I've ever had were graded abstractly, not systematically.
Here, you must stick to the method(s) of the specification of the exam board which is like a governing body for education
The only reason I know that is due to A- level further maths I'm afraid( the sum of squares formula)
I know right
