Can you prove that if p^2 is even then p is even ?
How would I prove p² is even
try squaring (2n+1)^2 show it is odd then use contrapositive of if p is odd then p^2 is odd
contrapositive of: p -> q is (not q -> not p)
square both sides then isolate for p^2
Well square each side
Then as Sophie said prove that if p is odd then p^2 is odd (it’s equivalent)
