pre-algebra help

guys what the flip. I got -4 for the first one cus i did -4-0 / 4-1 but the answer key says it’s -2, idk how 😭 and i am so lost of the IROC for the x =4 but i would chose the 3.9 for x1 and 4.1 x2 but idk what values for the y 2 and y1 values cus im lost and i have a quiz tomorrow and i’m gonna 😵 i also got the wrong answer for the last AROC cus i used the same method for the first AROC, so am i doing the slope/y2-y1/x2-x1 method wrong…. or am i just

Assuming you meant (-4 - 0)/(4 - 3) instead of (-4 - 0)/(4 - 1), that's correct for (I).

Maybe they just forgot about the different scales of axes.

okay so basically, yk how (3,0) and (4,-4) …. i thought that the y1 is 0, y2 is -4, x1 is 3, and x2 is 4

so i did -4-0/ 4-3

If you haven't learned derivatives, just find the slope of tangent line at the specified points.

You'll have to approximate it for x = 4, but as long as you do it correctly, you'll still be able to order the results just fine.
