I need help with B and C pls

Let Z = length of supply in cm
What i did was: found Z score of 104 = 4/3

and then P(Z>4/3) = 0.09121
then did 0.0921* (500-79)
as there were 79 stakes rejected from part a)

getting an overall answer of 39 but the answer key says the ans is 54

idk how to do C)

Also I believe by 500 stakes produced it means that 500 stakes are not rejected

The reason you need to multiply 0.09121 by the whole population of stakes is because if it was just non rejected stakes then the standard deviation and mean would be different

#

And hence the probability wouldn't be 0.09121
