i got invited to the other one recently
oh okay
well it seems obvious to me why zfc doesnt care about physical reality? because maths and physics are different subjects. In the intersection of the two subjects we have things like axioms of quantum mechanics etc. (mathematical physics stuff). Why would we want our mathematical framework to rely on physics?
That's the thing. Why would physics wanna rely on ZFCs that don't care about reality?
they should be both internally and externally consistent
physics relies on literally anything that works for a specific problem
do you know about the cosmological constant?
do physicists even care about ZFC
most dont need to tbh
not in too much detail
but maybe more than you idk?
So the premise is that QFT says the vacuum energy density is something like 122 orders of magnitude above whats observed in GR, even though they're measuring the same thing on different scales.
you are saying things about qft when you have never studied calculus past calc 1 from what i remember you saying, you cant even do a path integral
Wait, I thought the cosmological constant was about cosmic inflation?
qft is a graduate level physics subject
my learning is very assymetrical
either case. i did approach this from a theoretical physics point of view first
not mathematics
you are hoping to figure out what is the best way to describe reality from your armchair?
i don't even know what the theory is
theoretical physics NEEDS a certain level of mathematics
mhm and i have repeatedly said i'm not even close to this level?
and i have said i need more math knowledge?
and i have apologized for wasting your times on trying to argue in classic frameworks?
but then you are making bold claims about things you admit you are not even close to understanding 😭
when you know you dont understand them
Yes, you have repeatedly admitted to not knowing the first thing about the field you think you're revolutionizing, and you have repeatedly failed to see the paradox in that statement.
well yeah, einstein never realized general theory of relativity until years later even though he had the idea for it much earlier.
proposition: everyone involved has acknowledged arguing about this is a waste of time, close thread?
