My teacher wrote the solution, but I didn't get it tho, I am doubting about something like when negative and positive vector cancel out which make a zero but not sure if it's related
Btw I missed a whole 2 week of school because of sickness
Do you know what the negative of a vector is?
Like the same magnitude as the positive vector but opposite direction
Or generally how vector addition works?
Yh
Exactly. So can you identify pairs of vectors in the problem that are negatives of each other?
Hold on let me see
for example EA with AE cancel out
EB and BE cancel out
so like EA+AE= 0 and EB+BE= 0 is like that ?
@hallow flame
...those vectors aren't in the problem.
They're
No, they aren't.
"They're" isn't a thing.
I don't understand your point
I am looking. AE isn't in the problem.
I know but if you go in the opposite direction
It cancel out the EA
No?
What. Is. The. Problem?
Here.
Say. It.
Why I have to say I if the screenshot is already there?
So that I know that you know what it says, because you keep talking about shit it doesn't say.
It's asking for those points that are intersecting to E and prove that are equal to vector 0
You literally said that to me and I'm giving you to answer to see whether I'm correct or not
I said identify pairs of vectors IN. THE. PROBLEM. that are negatives of each other. AE ISN'T. IN. THE. PROBLEM.
AE is the negative vector of EA?
IT'S NOT IN THE PROBLEM.
Yes it's , you can see it's Going from E to A or A to E
If I'm wrong correct me at least
So which vectors are in the problem???
EA+EB+EC+ED
SO WHICH OF THOSE ARE NEGATIVES OF EACH OTHER?
AE BE CE DE
IN THIS LIST.
THAT ARE NEGATIVES.
OF. EACH. OTHER.
Do you know what "each other" means???
So you literally don't know what "each other" means?????
I know
What do you think it means?
Okay so like AE+ BE doesn't cancel out so if we change BE to negative which becomes it parallel side since it's same but different direction?
Each other mean selves
No!
🙏🥲
Wait, lemme try a new approach, what is AE + EB?
Its resultant vector?
Which is?
AB
The other 2?
No.
AC?
No, they form a single line
Yeah which AC no?
Well no, in vector algebra, such things add up to 0
No, it’s correct
At least now u know
Yh I know but at least you corrected.my mistake, the other person didn't want to
I mean I understand
him
So, the other 2 add up to?
I gotchu
For which vectors?
0?
0+0
I see now I get it and I see the point
I was confused
As first but really appreciate, I'm just sucks with Math
Alr thanks, any tips to grind in math?
Just do problems ig
Yes I keep practicing until i master you're right
It’s not such a big deal when you can’t find the answer during practice
Because then you can learn and you won’t make the same mistake in the exam
Yes I guess it's part of learning process
The more mistakes the less chance making them thank you I'm going to close +close
