what you can do is either subjectting x or y and substituting into the other equation
Try elimination or subsitution.
like x = 12 - 2y/3?
Yes although subjecting y in the 2nd equation would be simpler. y =5x-7 but its upto you now you can subject into the other equation and solve for y
