- Do not ping the Moderators, unless someone is breaking the rules.
- Do not ping the Helper Moderators, unless there is a conflict between helpers.
- Do not ping other members randomly for help.
- Ask your question and show the work you've done so far. If you've posted a screenshot of a question, specify which part you need help with.
- Wait patiently for a helper to come along.
- If the Helper has answered your question, remember to thank them with the Mathematics Ranks bot and close the thread with:

Feel free to nominate the person for helper of the week in #helper-nominations
If you're happy with the help you got here, and the server overall, you can contribute financially as well:
Find its zeroes and intervals of constant sign first.
As usual, you can just follow the general plan.
- Domain.
- Symmetry (evenness/oddness).
- Periodicity, antiperiodicity.
- Discontinuities, behavior around them.
- Behavior at infinity, asymptotes.
- x- and y-intercepts.
- Intervals of constant sign.
- Intervals of monotonicity, extrema.
- Intervals of convexity, inflection points.
- Range.
First four points are pretty much answered immediately for a polynomial.
note that roots that have odd multiplicity (that is, they have factors in the form (x-r)^(2k+1) where k is a natural number) passes straight though the x-axis, while roots that have an even multiplicity (i.e., factors in the form (x-r)^(2k) where k is a natural number) will “bounce back” or act like a parabola on its vertex in the local neighborhood (around) that root
Solve 3x - 15 = 0, 2x - 2 = 0, x + 3 = 0 for roots. Odd = cross, even = bounce. Degree 6, negative = up left, down right. Plug x = 0 for y-intercept.
I honestly am bored it's 12 am
i think this has been covered by both comments.
