The circumference of a circle with diameter d is L = πd.
But it says take pie away from 3.142
Pi, not pie.
Well, then just use the given value for pi.
Not sure why they ask us to do that, but oh well...
you only have to take your formula and replace pi with 3.142 and r by 4.5m
so you would have c=2xpixr so c=2x3.142x4.5m
Well, we could also just use L = πd. No need to divide and multiply by 2.
No, I mean, we're given the diameter already.
Yeah
It might take less steps but not everyone knows that way
i do ahah
Well, we have L = 2πr and d = 2r, so L = πd.
right
it means to approximate (or replace), i.e. $\pi=3.142$ for this question
temu mod | promote to mod pls
but generally you don’t round unless you’re asked to
And if you do, you only round at the very end.
got it
circumference L=2pir
I have a master's degree in mathematics
I am living in florida US
so send me message when you have a trouble
I mean that is really really cool and all, just note there are a few other post graduates around here. OK?
Welcome John
what is your name bro?

**When helping people, please do not dump the full solution. **
Remember that these people are trying to learn concepts, and our goal should be to reinforce them. Giving them a solution will not help.
**Instead, give them hints and guide them toward the correct solution. **
You can ask things like "what part did you get stuck on?" or "what have you tried so far?" or give them a small starting hint. This ensures better learning. For more tips, reach out to Schlaumau (@schlaumau).
