This is after the cancelation looks better here
x cant be equal to 2. just put x =2 in the eqn, LHS = 0 and RSH = 8. so yeah x cant be equal to 2, maybe u have done some mistake
But isn't the next step after the cancelation to check like all cases
Wait I'll do it quickly wait
Here
I was checking the case where the first | | is positive and the second one is negative
And I get x = 2
where is that 4 in the RHS?
I've already added it to the - 2
oh ok
wait what are critical points u have taken?
the critical points should be 2 and -2
I didn't know that was a necessary step 😭
But I don't really understand whyy we do all that I always thought we just had to like check all cases
Why are the critical points -2 and 2
cause u are getting x = 2 and -2 upon equating the two modulus to 0
yeah
range
Yess that
How do we know the range of x from that
just put any number greater than 2 and the sign inside the modulus accordingly remove the mod with sign
Ohh could you maybe show an example 😭
I understood it with this little grid
And yes it makes sense now
yeah right
