the first one is relatively easy.
just take the amount of permutations without the number 0 being on the first digit
so its supposed to be 9.9.8.5
not necessarily.
imagine 4 boxes
where u have to fill the first box with how many numbers u have. say n. then the next box with n-1 and the next with the pattern...
now you have found out how many numbers would be in each box
so in this case, the first box can have 9 items(1-9), the other 3 can have 10 items(0 - 9)
