im using this formula to get a number but when i plug it in i always get the wrong answer
do you have an actual question you want help with?
cause reading a z-table is just having a standard normal random variable, then being asked a probability from it
$P(Z\leq 1.23)=.8907$ from reading the entry in the $1.2$ row and $0.03$ column since $1.23=1.2+0.03$
Omegabet_
basically i get every step correct until i have to put the number into a z score table and get one of the decimal numbers
like what owuld a -0.618 z score convert into
wdym?
like what's $P(Z\geq -0.618)$?
Omegabet_
or $P(Z\leq-0.618)$?
Omegabet_
Or do you have a magical $X\sim N(\mu,\sigma)$ you've neglected to talk about?
Omegabet_
again, if you have a concrete problem you want help with, then you can get concrete help
nvm lol
idk what i was doing wroing but i just figured out how to use a ti 84 plus to get the z score
which is great cause its allowed
i didnt really have a question that i needed help with as i was able to get basically 9/10 parts of it correct
itrs just converting like (for example) 0.21 to a z score using the standard z score distribution table would always get me an incorrect answer
but wtv i dont need help anymore
Like X=.21 what's z? You just subtract the mean of X then divide by its standard deviation
