the domain is the union of the intervals on which the function is defined (you can read them on the right)
the range is the union of the ranges of the function on each given interval
so now you reduced the problem of studying the function on each of the three intervals on which f is defined
Can you recommend me any link books or notes to better understand functions and domain and range
Because I've never really done calculus and now I really need help with these problems.
