Trigonometry?
yes
yeah basic
basic?
Don't ping random people
not for me
ignore that message
sorry
so see
Do NOT randomly ping people in your help thread, especially not the Helper Mod for no reason
This is a warning
yes
what formulas do we know
you need to do trigo
@junior pulsar
yeah
area of triagle
and sohcahtoa
ye
whats does sine formula say
no because
A) you dont have the area
B) youre finding a side length that doesnt have the area discussed
a/sina = b/sinb = c/sinc
@toxic walrus please can i help him and not u
this
i came first..
theres another sine rule
dude cmon
for finding angles
bruh
Lol
rearanging it gives
but ive never gotten to help ayone
same
Lameti came first
fine
guys pls
bye
If he cant explain then ari
sine rule for angle is
whats the formula for sin a?
well its a ratio right?
forget the sine rule
ok
yea sohcohtoa
hyptenous is the longest side
yeds
ACE is hyp
can you see if we have any info to take out sin of any angle?
(look for right angle triangles)
yes there is 1
what is it
how are we gonna write the sin a= ? then
no
see sin is the ratio of sides
we know that
so sin a can be writtin as ratio of what sides
ok
so lets first see the meaning of sin cos and tan
can you name the sides for me of this triangle abc
if angle a = 90
@junior pulsar
name it?
like ab is the base
what is bc and ca?
so what are we left with
yes
so you need to explain me the sin cos and how to apply them to get ratio of sides
ab is adj
then he would be able to do the question
which angle is theta
your choice dude
idk why they even give the area
sinθ = opposite/hypotenuse
we can take ae without using area
okey
tanθ = opposite/adjacent
yes
cosθ = adjacent/hypotenuse
yea
sinθ = AC/BC
okey
k
so what do you want to do now
can i do this in my book
ye
in the mean time ill revise for interquartile range and standard deviation
you do NOT need to revise for iqr
iqr is easy
its q3 - q1
wait r u doing gcse?
alr
this test
has only 4 topics
Trig Triangles
Simultaneous Equations
Stats
Straight Line
just a class test
but i need to do good in it
wtf is that..
Kind of like 1/4 rand relation and all
Mm yo pinged
by mistake
?
wdym?
guys you are overcomplicating
you can find ac with pythagoras
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
that means 18^2 = 8^2 + AC^2
that means AC^2 = 18^2 - 8^2
,w square root (18^2 - 64)
so AC is 2root65
obv you can
but understanding basic trig relations is far more beneficial
you dont need ac bruh
fair
at least we know that AE is greater than 2 root 65
jinoy, you can see it and ask where you dont understand
thats solution?
i am not sending answer..
Sin A = 8/18 = 4/9
Drawing perpendicular from D to AE at F, forming triangle AFD
the DF/AD = Sin A
DF= 24 * 4/9
then Area ( ADE ) = 160 (Given)
1/2* DF* AE = 160
AE = 320 /DF
you got the value of df from here
put it and you get the answer
@junior pulsar
@tiny parrot
You got answer?
obv
Nice
1/2 bc sin theta = 160
And we find sintheta and done
We no be
We know sintheta
We find c
If you wanted one more way
Mm my bad then
bsino is altitude
Ok nice
okay...
Why do you say so
he didnt understand it probably
i guess
