From a given position an observer notes that at the angle of elevation of a rock is 47 degrees. After walking 1000 feet towards the rock, up a slope of 32 degrees, he finds the angle of elevation to be 75 degrees. find the vertical distance of the rock above each point of observation.

My answer (please check if I am correct)

At 47 degrees: the rock is 1252.797 ft high
At 75 degrees: the rock is 627.928 ft high

i believe the discrepancy occurs in the understanding of "walking 1000 feet towards the rock"

oh so the slope is 1000 ft?

i have chosen to interpret it as the diagonal length

I do not know "towards the rock" statement would be horizontal or diagonal movement
