Okay so the domain is the x axis and the range is the y
So let's focus on the range
How high does the first one go
1
How low does it go?
-infinity?
Exactly
So the range is from 1 to negative infinity
Use whatever notation your teacher said to use
Now for the domain
How far does it go left?
1
so -infinity
Yep and to the right would be
-inf again..?
okay
And just looking at it what's the value of f(0)
Or in other words where does the x axis and the function cross
so for #3 it would be.. [4, -inf) for range and then [-4, 4] for domain?
I dont know 😭
Here I need to sleep @inner willow can you finish
It's late for me and I have to get up at 5 am
how'd you do the other ones
alright
it's the same thing as the other ones
1 has domain (-infty,infty) and range (-infty,1] and 3 has domain [-4,4] and range [0,4]
Okay but I also need to find f(0)
how tho
I need the explanation pls ;-;
ye thx
Do you know how to read a Cartesian plane chart or whatever they call it
@inner willow has given 1 rep to @frail pasture
the vertical direction is canonically “y” and the horizontal direction is “x” (rightwards)
f(0) is the y value at x = 0
gotcha ok
