First of all, if it's not linear, it's not a line. Like, that's what the word "linear" means, it's the adjective form of the word "line". What you're talking about is a curve, and if it's literally a random assortment of points - well, first off, it can't be if it's "a line" in the sense of being a curve, because I'm assuming you mean a continuous curve.

what kind of a "line" do you want to connect them?
Because a polynomial of degree 5 would connect them, but it could be an overfit
