what is the formula for area of triangle?
½b.h?
ya
And????
the height for triangle abc and ced would be the same right?
c to ad
But it is not 90°
I don't remember the name of the formula but
If two triangles have the a same altitude then the area of those triangles is in the same ratio as that of the ratio of the sides(divided by the altitude)
and the altitude need not be perpendicular.
Rather say height.
You can use that concept here.
First find the ratio CE:EB
The area of triangles CED and BDE will be in the same ratio as that of CE and EB, because ED is the common height here.
Since you know the area CED, you can find the area of BDE and CDB as a whole.
Then find the ratio AD:DB, the area ACD and CDB will be in that same ratio, now since you know CDB area, you can get ACD area
