Maybe for now you can start by finding the resultant vector by adding the position vectors.

what i did:
cos45= <4,12> . <x,2> |<4,12>| * |<x,2>|
but idk what to do next
like how to simplify non calc
what i did:
found magnitude of 4,12
which was = to 160
magniude of x,2
=x^2 +4
simplify it maybe by squaring on both sides and just moving things
we had
4x+24 / ( 4*sqrt10) (x^2 + 4) =sqrt2 / 2
after squaring
=
(4x+24)^2 / (4^2*10) (x^2+4)^2 = 1/2
