well, we can draw a triangle
and then that angle you put as 43 would be 90+43
do you see why
I was told this aint a right triangle though
From what my teacher said
From earlier in the year
I dont
it is not!
So why 90
??
well
off topic but can we speak through voice
does this make snese
looks like you cut the triangle in half and put a 90 degree angle and marked it as 43 degrees
43 degrees south east
but also, they started going straight south
so there is a 90 degree angle between south and east
no
cause if it were 90 degrees it would be just east
not south east
hmm
can we go into voice call
nope. sorry
okay do you understand where this triangle came from
or no
i mean i know its a triangle cause south + south east is 2 sides of a triangle, and going to the start is a direct path so 1 side
i know law of cosines
cuz we know two sides, and we can find that angle
yes
alright, now for finding that angle
it has two parts
it first is the angle going from a line straight north to a line straight east
finally, a line going from straight east to 43 degrees south of east
does that help
can i send what i think the answer is with law of cosin
@humble knot i feel like its wrong though
c^2=15^2+20^2-2(15)(20)*cos43
yea thats wrong cuz the angle isnt 43
then wtf is the angle
they literally said 43
ive been trying to explain that for a while ðŸ˜
.
by nature thats a 43 degree angle though, cause its acute
i still dont get this
does that look acute to you
looks obtuse now
@humble knot so is it c^2=15^2+20^2-2(15)(20)*cos133
yea! there you go
wait so if i have any question like this
with a ne nw se sw kind of degree measure
i can just add 90
and do the equation
just think about this
basically we have to cut the triangle in half
like, compass
so use a compass
did you mean axises
cause when you said axes i thought like cutting wood
oh
axes is the plural form
but it does also mean 🪓 🪓 you are right
welcome to english!
i played minecraft a lot when i was younger
