Note that x√(x) = x^(3/2).
(b).
Express the equation of the tangent line in slope-intercept form. Then you'll be able to find the point at which it touches the curve, and continue from there.

First of all, the equation of the line isn't y = 3x + 5/3.
Second, it's better to work out the point at which the derivative of the function is the same as the slope of the line.
