Do you know how much the angles at a point add up to?
Well look up "angles at a point"
its 360
Nice, what about the sum of interior angles of a polygon?
i dont know
As above, let's look it up
What is that n?
180?
The information source from which you get this formula should have stated what n means
Can you get that info for me?
n is the number of sides
4
So its interior angles add up to?
We already have 3 of the 4 interior angles
ok
2 of which are expressed in terms of x
yes
The last one, along with another angle of known size (also in terms of x), forms a whole circle around a point
How much do they add up to?
360
yes
The four interior angles add up to 360 degrees
ok
So we are done
Doesn't seem like it
The reflex angle is not x degrees
Its sum with (x + 100) degrees is 360 degrees
so i do opposite x - 100?
Solve it now remembering the interior angles add upto 360
Yes
This is not an equation, I don't see two quantities being set to equal each other
well i thought that was the right equation as potatto said so i added the x in the shape 3x and then the x with the 260 - x and the + 40 so i thought that was the equation
i just dont know
No, what does 3x + 40 + 260 - x mean in the context of the picture?
40 is already a given angle the 2x plus the x on the opposite side 3x then the 260 is from the x + 100 and the opposite is x - 100 but i have no clue
ive already spent 1h on this question im lost
The 260 is not standalone
The bottom (reflex) interior angle is of size 260 - x degrees
ok
3x + 40 + 260 - x
This is the sum of the degrees of all 4 interior angles
ok
360
