Guys, I need help with implementing my EM algorithm. I have four teams in a tournament that play 4 choose 2 = 6 matches. The game between A and C is watched by 160 people, between A and D by 500 people, between B and C by 400 people, between B and D by 600 people, between C and D by 400 people. What is the MLE for the number of people who watched the game between A and B? I am modelling the probability of each match using the function 1-e^(-thetaA-thetaB) (for the match between A and B). So I have a four dimensional parameter THETA = (thetaA, thetaB, thetaC, thetaD). Not being able to write the expressions for E and M.
