its quite messy but sure

#

ah i cant find my phone, i can try expain what ive done

#

also new answer is 5.2 i made a mistake

#

i think at least

#

but yh i started by taking the det of the matrix and got it as 14

#

so the area of the original triangle as 26

#

then i sketched out the coordinates of the original triangle and just took k as a positive integer, dont think it matters tho

atomic ore
#

k is a constant

#

but yes, you can assume k>0

dreamy spire
#

yh sry i mean constant not integer

#

then i basically made a large rectangle for a large total area

#

and sectioned some smaller right angle triangles within that which was the bits i didnt need

#

so equation i got was 5k=26

#

so k=5.2

#

but theres no ms so idk if im right

atomic ore
#

it's a triangle with base 11-3=8 and height k from your sketch

dreamy spire
#

the triangle wont have a height k cuz its not a right angle i dont think

atomic ore
#

... the height is perpendicular to the base regardless of the triangle

#

recall elementary school geometry

#

yh nvm thats mb, long day

nw
