i got told that in the (x-2)^2
when doing the a^2-2ab+b^2
b is still 2
the negative doesnt change it
it only changes the + or - 2ab
is that correct
so b is +2 in this equation
I always do it piece wise
So you have 3 - (x-2)(x-2) . ok after that you would factor
doing it piecewise looks like this
xx + (-2)x + x(-2) + (-2)(-2)
which would give you
x^2-4x+4
following so far?
Then you put it back in your equation. Keep in mind that it is 3 - (factored equation)
so you have to distribute the - through the whole thing
so y = 3 - (x^2 - 4x +4)
