how do i apply it?
Suppose we have a triangle with sides a, b, c and angles A, B, C opposite of the respective sides. Then:
a/sin(A) = b/sin(B) = c/sin(C)

Well, too much data is given here. We don't need both angles. So, you can either use tangent or cotangent, depending on which angle you pick.

Well, we have tan(A) = x/AC, cot(B) = x/AC. So, you can find x from either case.
