same shape just one is larger or smaller than the other by a certain scale
The precise mathematical definition is that two shapes or figures are similar if all their corresponding angles are congruent and all their corresponding lengths are proportional.
So then what are the units of area?
squared and cubed?
km?
So if I have a kilometer of rope, that's the area of rope I have?
