I feel really confused on how I'm just not getting this question, I just got introduced to this in basic Geometry and my assignment has us watch a video about the isosceles triangle theorem. And I'm understanding every question but these two just don't make sense to me. The video never showed an example like this and I've watched it over like 3 times and I'm not understanding these questions. Could anybody help at least point me in the right direction?

(2).
Note that x is the angle near the base, so the other angle near the base is also x.
(3).
Same, but this time for the angles of 40° and y°.
(2).
So if I do (180-40)/2 would give me x?
Yes. Don't forget the degree signs, though.
Ohhh okay got it. I'm still a bit confused on question 3 though. Could you elaborate a little more?
The approach is the same.
For example, x° = 180° - 2*40°.
if you know to sides are the same lengths, you also know their angles are the same
no worries
think abt smth like this
no matter what length the two lines, the angles between them are always the same
got it!
thank you guys so much I kept getting those wrong and it kept bugging me
have a good day!
