Well, if you take the position of the hand as h = 0 and point the axis upwards, then the ground will be at h = -2.
Though, I'd take the ground as h = 0.
So are we saying it's -2 because the ground will be below the hand ?
Yes.
Ah ok, thanks for your help i get it now
Great! You're welcome.
Hello again, so for this question i took the value of distance to be negative 16.8 but they take it as posotive ?
Depends on where you put the origin and how you direct the axis.
It's better to solve such problems generally.
Values will confuse you, at least because of missing units.
I dont get how theyre getting a value of 0 for their equation
oh wait they're using suvat when the distance is 0 lol nevermind
What is "suvat"?
You essentially take these equations and apply them to your problem. You sub the values you do have into them to get values you don't have
Do you approach mechanics differently ?
Oh. Never heard of this abbreviation. I do know the equations; though, I dislike using s.
Well, this abbreviation is probably unique to those learning physics in English.
Yeah I would say so. It's mainly called suvat because it sounds fairly iconic and easy to remember
Also, do you know how to close these post help things ?
