For the domain, note the following:

  1. Domain of any polynomial is ℝ.
  2. Denominators must not be equal to 0.
  3. Expressions under even roots must be nonnegative.
    There are some more conditions, but you won't need them here.
    As for the range, that depends on the function. If a function is monotone, you can find the range by just taking the values of the function at the boundaries of its domain. If the function isn't monotone, then you need to analyze it.
