How would I solve this? Am I on the right track?

btw I found sin (-225) to be sqrt 2/2 if you can't read it

#

The part where I'm confused first is that my teacher in their solution video didn't rationalize first, leaving sin (-225) as 1 over sqrt 2. Also they ended up with sqrt 2 + 2.

I'm still stuck here

I don't know how to continue

Well. You have a complex fraction.

yes

#

So... you want to get rid of that.

#

How do you get rid of a complex fraction?

autumn hearth
#

do I have to mutiply the numerator and denominator by 2/1

summer parrot
#

You can do that.

#

Or, to simplify things a bit.

#

Remember that dividing by a fraction is equivalent to multiplying by the reciprocal.

They had more steps so it was kinda confusing
