Suppose the points from left to right are A, B, C.
Then, suppose the unknown point is D. As a square is also a parallelogram, we need the following to hold for vectors AB and DC (as ABC is a right angle):
AB = DC
So, now rewrite this in terms of the coordinates of the endpoints, then express r(D).

Well, if you don't like the vector approach, you can also do it like this.
The point D will be at the intersection of perpendicular of AB at A and perpendicular of BC at C.

Both approaches will work, but I think the first one is faster.
