I have questions about Net Area vs Total area

1. Is net area taking the areas of certain intervals of a function on a graph, and considering them as either positive or negative, then adding them together?

2. Is total area just adding up everything all at ounce and not considering if the area between the X-axis and function is below or above the axis?

3. If I was given a table and told to find the net area and total area well being given a function, could I just find the anti derivatives, look at where the function crosses the X axis and use F(b)-F(a) to find the areas

4. Is displacement net area and is distance traveled total area
