Rather, an identity, maybe?
Three lines, that means congruence.
It does? Hm, I'm more used to that meaning identity.
So, for example, when titrating NaOH with HCl, I write X ≡ NaOH, T ≡ HCl.
Apparently it has diverse meanings, but the two specific contexts which are the only ones I've ever seen it in are geometric or modular congruence.
Which are equivalence relations, but not actually equality.
