#Volume and surface area of a 3d shape in a coordinate system.

I primarily need help with exercise B. I’m supposed to find how much glass the vase is made of. I was thinking that I have to find the surface area. However I don’t know how to do that. Someone said to use the washer method, but I think I kind of already used that for task A, where I was supposed to find out how much water can fit in the vase, so that would be volume.

Also I’m not sure if my result for exercise A is correct because I don’t know how I’m supposed to place the parantheses.

In the pictures is the original task (handwritten because I had to translate it) and also my solution for exercise A.

(This is not my assignment but another class got it and I wanted to understand the topic as we aren’t as far along as them.)

I’m not even sure if exercise A is right, because the teacher didn’t give a method to solve this and we haven’t done these kinds of exercises before
