My senior year of high school is coming to an end (1 semester left) and I’m going to college next school year. Im most likely going to major in math at UIUC or Minnesota Twin cities and I want to ask, what are some things I should do during my undergrad to help me become competitive for graduate school/ what are sometimes you wished you did during your undergrad.

- math is not about memorisation of proofs
- definitions, definitions, definitions ..
Get good at writing proofs sooner than later
I currently have a proofs book in working through between classes rn (https://longformmath.com/proofs-home). Besides this book, do you have methods/tips to learning proofs before I take a formal class on it?
No I’m just regurgitating info I heard to help me
