i have a homework due soon and i’m very confused about this question. it states T/F, The number of vertical asymptotes for a rational function equals the degree of the denominator. now in my book there’s an example where we have 1 vertical asymptote however the denominator degree is 2 so u assumed false, but i’m still not sure
uhhh i would say the number of roots of the denominator
because a va is when the denominator is 0
for example x^2-4 hits 0 twice
x^2 only hits 0 once
