So for the first one:
We know that the equation of a line is y = mx + b, right? Where m is the slope?
yes
y= mx + b
So we need to find a value of m that will make the equation true for both points, right?
yes
m is x rught
So we set up the following system of equations:
(−1) = m(−10) + b
(−4) = m(5) + b
@neat basalt, you know how to solve a system of equations, right?
Okay, so once you solve it, what value of m do you get?
idk
So first, we want to eliminate the b term, right?
We know that −1 = m ⋅ −10 + b, right? So we know that −1 − 4 = m ⋅ −10 + b − 4, and since we know that −4 = m ⋅ 5 + b, we can use −4 and m ⋅ 5 + b interchangeably: −1 − 4 = m ⋅ −10 + b − (m ⋅ 5 + b).
And you can solve it from there, right?
Can you show me your steps?
sorry i had to go somewhere
actually i think its - 1/5
i used the formula y2-y1/x2-x1
then divided and got -1/5
Is this an exam or som
no
It is still a lot of stuff to check, good luck finding someone willing to
its 19 questions
thank u
You know where the formula comes from, right?
yes
i did all the questi9ons
can u check them
All I can say is that it looks suspiciously like a Schoology quiz.
@neat basalt, what happens when an extra month passes in the gym fee question?
u have to pay 15 each month
and 12 is the enrollment fee
OHH whoops i didnt know i clicked that
must have been a misclick
and the other ones ? are they right
How did you arrive at your answer for side length B̅C̅?
is it wrong ?
Yep!
