I have to make a Google slide of all the different ways to solve quadratic equations but I like I can’t remember anything I learned????

I need to know what are roots not square roots but some other kind

I need to know when it’s best to do factoring

when it’s best to do completing the square

when it’s best to use the quadratic formula

That’s it I think?? Thanks if you help I just need short descriptions for those because for whatever reason I can’t find it written down in my notebook? It’s probably in there but it’s super unorganized I can’t find them at all

hi hi! idk if this will help but

** ax^2 + bx + c **

it's usually best to do the quadratic formula when the equation is not factorable

it would also be an easier option to use the quadratic formula instead of completing the square, especially if a is greater than 1

If you have a quadratic eqn ax²+bx+c=0, then m and n are 2 roots of this equation if you replace x with m or n and the result is zero

#

and to factor, you need to split the middle coefficient b in two numbers, r and z such that r+z=b and r×z=ac

#

its best when the equation is simple abd you can easily see that this can be factored

#

And tbh I havent really worked with completing the square but Ig you can use as an alternative to the factoring method

#

if the number isnt a large one

#

Quadratic formula is best if you see that no rational roots are possible and either the roots are irrational or imaginary
