-1 = (4-4)-(4/4)
-2 = (4-4)/4 - sqrt(4)
you’re subtracting 4, that’s a negative 4 isn’t it
I assume he means something like (4/-4) + (4/-4)
-3 = 4/4-sqrt(4*4)

No negative 4s(or it will be too easy)
Any other function is allowed,but try to use as few non-basic functions as possible
(I will do decimals if this becomes popular enough)
