what does the [[ ]] symbol mean?
and for the absolute value i think it's best that you just plot them
like 12.
Closed interval
Is there a way i can solve it algebraically?
no like the one on no.35
use |x| = √x²
then solve it like you normally would for derivatives
oh so like floor function
Yea
wdym?
Like f(1) doesnt equal f(-1)
The answer was (0,0) for min and (-1?5) for max but i dont know how they for 0,0 without graphing
so basically
f'(x) for that question is
2x^(-1/3) - 2 right?
when f'(x) = 0
x = 0 is undefined
but x = 0 is in the domain
so it's one of the local extrema
you need to watch out when solving f'(x) = 0
to always look at domain of the function
For questions like this i find f’(c) = 0 or undef?
yeah but for undef it need to be in domain
