I need to determine whether z is differentiable at (-2,0)
but when I calculate Z_x(-2,0) i'm getting that the limit DNE
not too sure tho....
what do you get for
$\frac{\partial z}{\partial x}$

I have found my partial derivatives
and at the point (-2,0) I get a value for as well
Now if i show that Z_x and Z_y are continuous at (-2,0) then z is differentiable at (-2,0) ....
but to show that Z_x and Z_y are continuous... do I take the limit of (x,y) -> (-2,0) of z_x and z_y ?
you take the limit of (x,y) -> (-2,0) of z
Why the entire thing?
Cause you want to know if z(x,y) is differentiable at that point so you should check to see if the limit exist at that point
How do we check if a partial derivative is continuous at a point?
