is that an isoceles or random 12 high triangle
Well, the problem specified only that the altitude was 12
So I didn't make it iscocles to make sure that is shown
what even are u trying to find uh
well, A= (where a is the area of the rectangle)
So it would be A=x*y but u substitute in for x and y
is it given that the rectangle meets these high sides at the midpoint of that triangle?

My drawing was like that to make it easier to have a big rectangle to draw in

well it does specify useless things like assume the base of rectangle is on base of triangle etc etc
Should I skip this one but it def should be possible

they want you to pick the best triangle then
no, but the base align on top of each other. We can basically assume the rectangle's base is shorter than that of the triangle tho

what r u gonna do with third sidee of the triangle
well you can start making euqations
use coordinates because they are cool
then assume the bottom left is the origin
and then the top is something and just start bashing out variables and see if you can make an argument for x and y being specific lengths
If you want the dimensions of the largest rectangle that can be drawn inside the triangle, this is the solution
