Derivative of tanx?

Hi, Can anyone show me the steps on how to find the derivative of tanx? All the googles say its sec^2(x) but im not sure how they get it

tan(x) = sin(x)/cos(x)
then use the quotient rule to calculate the derivative
and also make use of the trigonometric identity:
sin²(x)+cos²(x)=1
