It might be good knowing the prime factors of 924
Do you know how to find them?
Prime Factors of 924: 2, 3, 7, 11.
You're missing one
One is repeated
2
Sorry my mistake.
Now you just have to trial and error until you find one that meet the criteria
If you look carefully, you'll see there's more than 1 solution
So the original question is wrong, but anyway
Are you insisting the question is wrong
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 11, 12, 22, 33, 44, 66, 132, and 924 are the factors of 924
Actually you should only see the prime ones, but ok
That list is a bit wrong btw, 7 is a divisor too, for example
try listing them like this
1 924
2 462
this way you can clearly see the sum
and you can easily tell if youve missed any
lmao i think this is quite funny
Why is it so ?
I asked chatgpt and it said this
Factors of 924:
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, 14, 21, 22, 28, 33, 42, 44, 66, 77, 84, 132, and 154
The correct pair of positive integers that satisfies your criteria is (33, 28) because:
33 + 28 = 61, which is greater than 50 but less than 100, and
33 * 28 = 924
So, the two numbers are 33 and 28.
chatgpt is stupid
dont use it
i made it do a math contest i got max score on and it got top 90%
although tbh that is correct
so heres a better solution
first prime factorize 924, which is 2^2*3*7*11
now we start listing factors
1 924
2 462
3 308
4 231
for each number you check if it fits into the prime factorization, so ik 4 fits becuase of 2^2 but 5 doesnt because theres no 5, 6 fits because of the 2 and 3, 8 doesnt fit because of 2^2, etc.
6 154
7 132
11 84 (sum of 95 lmao)
12 77 (sum of 89)
14 66 (sum of 80)
21 44 (sum of 65)
22 42 (sum of 64)
28 33 (sum of 61)
and the next number that fits into the prime factorization is 33, but we already have that, so we're done with the factorizing!! this question is broken lol
so I hope you take away from this question how to list all the factors out nicely
and final thing to add the number of factors in a number is the exponents in the prime factorization each added 1 to and then multiplied
basically we had in this question 2^2 3^1 7^1 11^1
with exponents 2 1 1 1
we now add 1 to all these exponents to get 3 2 2 2
then multiply them together to get 24 total factors
nd if you have 24 factors then you’ve found them all!
yw! good luck with the other riddles the person posted lol
So all these questions are broke 😂💀
