Flip an unbiased coin five independent times.
Compute the probability of
(a) HHTHT.
(b) THHHT.
(c) HTHTH.
(d) Three heads occurring in the five trials.
I assume a - c is the same answer. because probability h and t are both ,5
0.03125
yup
uhhh do they want you r answer is fraction or decimal
usually probability is a fraction
i dont think it matters for my teacher
@prisma bough would d also be the same?
its technically the same as a-c i think
nvm no,
u use choose then multiply it
so itll just be 10 * 0.03125
yeye
very last question: An urn contains two red balls and four white
balls. Sample successively five times at random and with
replacement, so that the trials are independent. Compute
the probability of each of the two sequences WWR WR
and R WWWR. I got 8/243 for both sequences
bc P(W) = 4/6 P(R) = 2/6
