Off of the continuation of Blueberries Post, the DHF has proven to be remarkably interesting.

ah I knwo

"know

left wagon
#

this is not exactly true

#

the DHF can compute x + ... + y

#

= y(y-1)/2 - (x-1)(x-2)/2

#

it can also compute x*...*y

#

= y!/(x-1)!

#

but it does not have the kind of ability to elevate things other than increasing chains of integers

#

i also think you have an interesting way of rational elevation

#

however

#

it does not work like i expect, i.e. the 4/3 elevator should be something between the 1 elevator and the 2 elevator

#

if you have a sequence of rationals approaching some number, the elevation answer does not approach something

#

however, it's not that expected, but maybe you can do some work to find fractional hyperoperations
