#Can someone help with the transformation of this sine function?

The sine function starts on the one opening downwards. I'm preparing for an exam about transformations of functions (alg 2 / trig) and my question is: You can use the graphing method for this function to get the final transformation, but its really lengthy. Using a point method (convert x1, y1 ---> to x2,y2) is wayyy faster, but the issue is, when you get the final points, how do you know where to connect the points? I would only know how to connect the points to that spike derived from the absolute value brackets if I actually graphed stepped by step. Anyone know what to do

  1. Wait patiently for a helper to come along.
  2. Once someone helps you, say thank you and close the thread with:

  1. Feel free to nominate the person for helper of the week in #helper-nominations
  2. Do not ping the mods, unless someone is breaking the rules.
  3. If you're happy with the help you got here, and the server overall, you can contribute financially as well:

yes

more points to connect = better connect the dots

then graphing step by step would be faster anyway right
