if a graph has any unit for the y axis and a count/number as the x denotated as n(all natural numbers). Then what would be the unit for the slope?

any unit/n ...?

#

oh wait

#

theres no line if its only natural numbers

orchid oasis
#

how?

#

for example the x axis is the number of cats for example

humble dew
#

if its natural numbers only there is no value of y for 4.4

orchid oasis
#

isn't that possible?

#

just have the axis be marked like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5+

#

and a data point for each of those marks

#

nothing in between

humble dew
#

yes but you cant connect them

#

so no line

#

i guess you still can have a slope

orchid oasis
#

yeh

humble dew
#

its still just y/x

#

just replace whatever replaced y and x

orchid oasis
#

but x has no units?

would the slope of the graph be in cm2 or cm2/n ring

humble dew
#

cm2/n

orchid oasis
humble dew
#

what do you mean

#

how do you find the slope with one axis

orchid oasis
#

because n is a coutn

#

im not really sure but in my answer key they said the slope is just in terms of cm2

#

would there be any reason why

humble dew
#

why is the slope in terms of stuff

#

the line equation is given

orchid oasis
#

lemme rephrase

#

why would the slope be in cm2.

#

as opposed to cm2/n

humble dew
#

wait what can i see what the answer says

humble dew
#

what does question iv say

orchid oasis
#

and before this question they explain ```Theory suggests that D^2 = kn.

#

@humble dew any clue?

humble dew
#

no clue why the slope needs to be in cm^2 nope

#

the constant k is just a slope its not a measuerment

#

no idea maybe someone else knows this stuff
